Incredibly beautiful jacket from Sissel Edelbo. The Maggie jacket has a nice relaxed fit with two nice pockets in the front. The jacket has a button closure at the front placket and is made of cotton canvas.

Eye-catching suzani embroidery is placed throughout with bold, vibrant summer motifs like hearts, birds and sunsets. This Suzani embroidered jacket is decorated with the manually controlled chain stitch technique of Suzani embroidery. Suzani embroidery is done by Indian artisans who mostly use the tambour to create a unique and vibrant Suzani embroidery pattern. The name “Suzani” comes from the Persian word “su-zan” which means needle.

The Indian artisans use a hooked needle instrument called a tambour to create the intricate chain stitches that are the hallmark of Suzani embroidery. Due to the manually controlled nature of Suzani embroidery, you may notice slight variations from one garment to another, adding to the unique charm of a Suzani decorated item.
